Airy Ranch

This professional family of four needed more space so they relocated to the Raleighwood are, known for sprawling ranch style homes and midcentury modern gems. The couple wanted their open floor plan to feel light and contemporary but withstand high traffic from the kids and their dog. Our inspiration was the custom flat weave geometric rug we had made in India. Tough yet durable, it anchored the room and made a great backdrop to the Design Within Reach sofa. The custom live edge and metal coffee table was the ideal way to bring the outdoors in and create a more down to earth feel. The dining nook features the iconic Saarinen table and Hans Wegner Wishbone chairs. We finished the room with great floor and table lamps, as well as art from the homeowner’s kids.
