I am confident that with a little inspiration, clear communication, and access to the right resources, together we can create a home that you love.
Whether you’re a client in Mexico or working with me virtually, my goal is to make our time together as fun, efficient and organized as possible.
I would love to hear from you and help you achieve the home or workplace of your dreams!
HERE ARE MY CORE BELIEFS
01
Pricing, process and deliverables should be defined early and clearly.
02
The designer/client relationship should be fun, trusting and collaborative.
03
Your project is all about your needs, desires and lifestyle (and not my ego).
About Kristen Siefkin
For nearly 30 years, I’ve been in the business of using creativity to bring my clients’ visions to life.
I have a long history of storytelling, beginning in the communications department with McMenamins hotels, pubs and breweries, where I learned about vision, historic preservation and the importance of infusing a little whimsy into everything I do. Later, as vice president of a bi-coastal marketing agency, I was responsible for designing hundreds of successful campaigns for major international consumer brands.
In 2012, my former husband and I opened a neighborhood restaurant in Portland, Oregon called Tabor Tavern and three years later, we opened our second venue, Swift and Union. In 2013, the Portland Business Journal recognized me as one of its “40 under 40," an award given to young professionals at the top of their respective fields.
Today, I live in and work from Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and draw on my diverse background to realize a variety of commercial and residential interior design projects. My work has been featured in Apartment Therapy, Oregon Home Magazine and 1859 Magazine.
A graduate of the University of Oregon and with a certificate from the Heritage School of Interior Design, I currently serve on the board of Heritage, Daniel House Club and Chown Hardware, the oldest family-owned-and-operated architectural hardware, plumbing and lighting company in North America.
About Poncho Loza Marquez
Poncho was born in Mexico City and raised in Guadalajara.
He has lived all over Mexico, including San Miguel de Allende, but keeps finding himself back in Puerto Vallarta. Poncho has a diverse background in design, construction, furniture fabrication, and building administration. As our project manager, he and his team of subcontractors work to deliver our projects on time and within budget. Poncho loves nothing more than a good challenge and there’s rarely been a problem he can’t solve. So much so that Kristen calls him the “Mexican McGyver”. On the tough days, his collection of wigs, killer dance moves and wicked sense of humor help keep things light.
